HTML5 on IIS 7.5 and IIS 8.0
The HTML5 has been very relevant in recent years as a standard for building feature rich online applications. Technology behind the HTML5 makes it very flexible platform for building websites that used to rely on Adobe Flash or Microsoft Silverlight. Such concepts as HTML5 Canvas, Video, Audio and Geolocation made us think about ways we can contribute to the proliferation of the HTML5.

On the other hand, we are planning to run a set of articles on our site about HTML5 and next generation of IIS. Microsoft bets big on HTML5 by making IE 9.0 fully support the HTML5 standard and IIS will follow suite.

IIS 7.5 version is out and ready
IIS 7.5 was released by Microsoft in 2009 and has wide adaptation amongst many technology companies. It’s main advantage over IIS 7.0 is more robust platform with many issues found in IIS 7.0 fixed.

For instance, URL Rewrite module in IIS 7.0 was buggy at best. Its parsing engine could not handle certain outdated tags and it was chocking on them left and right. IIS 7.5 rectified all that and more.. Good job microsoft.com
